Recently of course vMix Call has been used non-stop for productions and we need to record program but also each iso for an edit bay. I know vMix was designed for streaming, but the truth is I work in broadcast and although I have vMix machines for streaming, they are more often being deployed as a video switcher and video recorder. To HDMI, SDI or Analog outputs through compatible hardware from AJA, Blackmagic Design and Bluefish.
8 external outputs would be ideal since most SDI cards don't have more outputs than that. External Output allows you to send audio and video out of vMix in a number of different ways: 1. The above would solve the internal record problem, but I would love to be able to send these callers out SDI to external recorders. Ideally I would love to do the following:Īlong with this I would like to see access to more external outputs. Plug in your device using the XLR inputs or outputs, or TRS cables.
2 stream PC encode limit applies on GeForce cards, CPU fallback available where not available on the GPU. Once you restart vMix, you will be able to use your headphones.
So if you have vMix 4K or PRO you have the ability to send out 4 fully custom SRT outputs That means you could send out your vMix production on Output 1 but also assign a camera to another one of your outputs and send that too Apps like Larix broadcaster allow you to send SRT. Uses GPU acceleration where possible for H264 and HEVC streams. vMix allows you to assign SRT outputs to your normal vMix outputs. That forces me into NDI and another machine, running another copy of vMix. vMix supports multiple inputs (Stream Input) and up to 4 outputs in vMix 4K and Pro (1 output in all other editions). Ensure you have enough audio output buses enabled in vMix settings.
My issue is I have 4 callers and 1 Master and that would require 5 outputs. The tutorial below explains how to configure vMix and Clevercast for a live stream. Since vMix Calls don't record well using Multicorder I need to use outputs to solve the problem. My issue is that I am doing a bunch of vMix Caller work. Machine strength should be a user problem and should not keep the additional channels from being added. I also understand that there may be some technical issues depending on the power of the machine. I know I can get around this with a second vMix and NDI, etc., but having this in one machine would be very handy. I would like to have at least 6 and up to 8.
While it seems that 4 outputs is enough, I am running into limitations with only 4. The effect of this cue is that the video file in Input 2 will start playing in the vMix Output Window (eg via a video projector), fading in the video over 1.
